How does Rease work now?
Think of Rease like a matchmaker... for stuff. We connect people who want to rent things with people who own them - and then we step back. You browse listings, contact the lister directly in the app (yep, there's messaging and even call features!), and work out the details yourselves. Simple, old-school, and super easy.
Is payment made through the app?
Nope! We're not part of your payment convo. Rease doesn't handle transactions, charge commission, or take any slice of the pie. You and the other person figure out how to exchange the goods and the dough - whether it's cash, bank transfer, or trading it for a pizza (not recommended, but hey... your choice).
Is there a bond or security deposit?
Not anymore. Since we don't handle transactions, there's no bond. But we strongly recommend discussing expectations clearly with the other person and possibly charging a bond before handing over an item.
Can I trust the people on Rease?
We do our best to keep the community clean and friendly. You can check profiles, ratings, and reviews before connecting. We also have a verification system in place to verify user identities and increase security!
Can I contact owners directly?
Heck yeah. We now offer a calling option, so you can connect instantly. Don't forget we have a messaging system so you can either call or message each other. No awkward emailing back and forth for days.
What kind of stuff can I rent?
Literally everything. Tools. Cameras. Party gear. Baby stuff. Camping gear. Drones. Even that chocolate fountain you used once. If it's legal and rentable, it's welcome here.
Do I need to sign any rental agreements?
That's up to you and the person you're renting with. Rease doesn't require any contracts, but it's always smart to set clear terms between each other. You can write it up or keep it casual - just make sure you're both on the same page.
Does Rease charge any fees?
Zero. Nada. Zilch. Rease is 100% free to list and browse. We're just here to connect you with what you need - and then get out of the way.
Is Rease available all over Australia?
Yep! Whether you're in Sydney, Melbourne, a small surf town, or literally the Outback - Rease is ready when you are.
How do I get started?
Download the app, sign up, post your stuff, or start browsing. That's it. No setup fees, no waiting period, no drama. Just rent and roll.

Do I need an account to use Rease?
Yup! But it's free, fast, and gives you access to all the juicy features - like messaging, calling, and listing your gear. No account = no action.
I forgot my password. Am I doomed?
Not at all. Just tap "Forgot Password" on the login screen, and we'll shoot a reset link to your email. Boom. You're back in.
Can I change my profile info?
Totally. Jump into your profile settings and update your name, pic, phone number - all that good stuff. New vibe? New you.
Why do I need to verify my phone number or ID?
We're big on trust. Verifying helps keep the Rease community real and reliable. It's also one of the ways we reduce scams and weird stuff.
Can I delete my account?
Sad to see you go, but yes - just message us or head to your settings. But warning: you might miss us later.

How do I list an item?
Tap the + button in the app, snap a few pics, add a juicy description, set your availability, and boom - it's live. Easy peasy.
How do I contact a lister?
Message them directly in the app. Or hit the call button if you're feeling brave and want to talk it out like it's 2004.
Can I search for specific items?
Yes! Use the search bar to find cameras, camping gear, party supplies - whatever you need. Filters help you narrow things down too.
How do I know if an item is available?
Listings show availability and you can message the lister to confirm. We suggest double-checking before you plan your party around that popcorn machine.
Can I favorite or save listings?
You bet! Just tap the heart icon and come back to it later. Love at first sight? Bookmark it.
My app is acting weird. What should I do?
Try restarting it or updating to the latest version. Still glitchy? Shoot us a message and we'll send the tech wizards.
Payment Help
How do I pay or get paid?
You don't pay through Rease. You and the other person decide how to handle the transaction - cash, transfer, gold bars... we don't judge.
Is it safe to pay outside the app?
We recommend using a secure method like bank transfer and only after confirming the item and agreement. And maybe avoid mailing envelopes of cash
Does Rease take any fees or commission?
Nope. Zilch. Zero. We don't touch your money. Everything goes directly between renter and lister.
Can I offer a bond or deposit?
Absolutely - if you want to protect your stuff, it's smart to request a bond upfront. Just be clear about terms and return timelines.
Safety & Privacy
Is it safe to rent on Rease?
We do our best to make it super safe. User verification, reviews, and ratings help weed out the dodgy ones. But always trust your gut.
What if something goes wrong with a rental?
Since Rease doesn't handle payments or bookings, we don't intervene in disputes. That's why we recommend clear agreements and item insurance.
Should I insure my stuff?
Yes! 100%. If it's valuable, protect it. Rease doesn't cover damages or loss, so having insurance gives you peace of mind.
Is my info safe on Rease?
Your personal data is protected with us. We don't sell your info, and our security game is strong. Your secrets are safe here.
How can I report someone shady?
Tap "Report" on their profile or listing, or message us directly. We take safety seriously and will investigate fast.
